Sheena was a happy and cheerful girl who loved her parents very much. She always looked forward to spending time with them, especially on weekends when they would go out for picnics, movies, or shopping. She was proud of her father, who was a successful businessman, and her mother, who was a kind and caring teacher. She thought they had the perfect family.
But everything changed one day when she came home from school and found her mother crying in the bedroom. She ran to her and asked what was wrong. Her mother hugged her and said, "Sheena, I have something to tell you. Your father... he has been cheating on me with another woman. He wants to divorce me and marry her."
Sheena was shocked and confused. She couldn't believe what she heard. How could her father do such a thing? How could he betray her mother, who loved him so much? How could he break their family apart? She felt angry, hurt, and betrayed. She ran out of the room and called her father on his phone.
"Hello, Sheena. How are you?" he answered in his usual cheerful voice.
"How could you do this to us?" she shouted. "How could you cheat on mom and leave us for another woman? Don't you love us anymore?"
There was a silence on the other end of the line. Then he said, "Sheena, I'm sorry. I know this is hard for you to understand, but I don't love your mother anymore. I love someone else. And I want to be happy with her. You have to accept this. It's for the best."
"No, it's not for the best!" she cried. "It's for the worst! You're ruining our lives! You're selfish and cruel! I hate you! I hate you!"
She hung up the phone and threw it away. She ran back to her mother and hugged her tightly. They both sobbed in each other's arms.
The next few months were hell for Sheena and her mother. They had to move out of their house and live in a small apartment. They had to sell their car and most of their belongings. They had to cut down on their expenses and live on a tight budget. They had to face the gossip and pity of their relatives and friends. They had to deal with the legal hassles of the divorce.
Sheena's father rarely visited or called them. He was busy with his new wife and his new life. He seemed to have forgotten about them completely. He didn't care about their feelings or their problems. He only cared about himself.
Sheena became depressed and withdrawn. She lost interest in her studies and her hobbies. She stopped talking to her friends and avoided social activities. She felt lonely and hopeless. She blamed herself for her father's actions. She wondered if she had done something wrong to make him leave them. She wished she could go back to the time when they were happy and together.
But she knew that was impossible. Her father had broken their home and their hearts. And nothing could ever fix them again.
The end.
